According to The Crowd ,when men are collected in a crowd there is a tendency towards their mental levelling at work,and proof of this is to be found at every turn.And their IQ will be impaired.Why does the phenomenon appear? From my point of view,many people can be affected by people around them,no matter what kind of people they are.As soon as people arrive in the group,people may cater to others consciously,which is intended to obtain recognition.And individuals are willing to abandon right and wrong,with IQ in exchange for that sense of belonging that makes people feel safe.We can find this phenomenon in our daily life easily.For example,when there are two or three people running red lights,many people will not follow them.However,if the number of people running red lights increases to a dozen, people may choose to follow.At which time their sense of guilt seems to ease and they will make up an excuse for themselves that not only themselves but so many other people also do so.Once an individual becomes a member of a group,he is no longer held accountable for what he does,and everyone is exposed to the unconstrained side of himself.What groups seek and believe is never truth and reason but blind obedience,cruelty,bigotry,and fanaticism,knowingly only simple and extreme feelings. From the Crowd,we can gain deep insight into her mentality,which motivates us to dig deeper about humans.
