通往中华传统文化的钥匙

After reading this book, I feel as if I have obtained a key to the library of Chinese culture. I have not explored the palace of knowledge, at least I have knocked on its door. In this book, I have found many answers to the vocabulary that I had only a partial understanding of when reading classics in the past.

I revisited the motto of my alma mater, Fuzhou Gezhi High School - to understand how we should conduct ourselves through our contact with things. I remembered the Cap Wearing Ceremony held there a year ago. At this moment, the sense of belonging and ceremony is particularly strong, and the confidence and pride rise naturally.

To facilitate agricultural production, ancient Chinese people summarized a supplementary calendar that divides a year into 24 segments according to the sun's movement on the ecliptic and seasonal changes in weather and other natural phenomena, with the 24 solar terms proportionally distributed through the 12 months. I was amazed by the wisdom of my ancestors when I first truly understood the origin of the 24 solar terms.

This traditional culture may take us a lifetime to explore, but fortunately it belongs to our nation, and I am the inheritor of culture.
