  Jane stayed at Moor House for about a year. During that time, she lived a simple and hard life, but also learned to be independent and strong.
  St. John's new home for Jane is Moore Manor. It was a spacious and beautiful estate in the countryside, in a beautiful setting, suitable for Jane to lead a comfortable life. St. John wants Jane to live with him at Moor Manor, but she eventually rejects his proposal and chooses to return to Ferndean Manor to restart her life with Mr. Rochester.
