  Hua Mulan is described as a heroine who joins the army for herfatherin the famous Chinese ancient poetry The Ballad of Mulan. Mulan's father is too old to endure the hardship and she alsohas no elder brother to take her father's place, thus Mulan decides to disguise herself as a male soldier to join the army. Though it is unknown whether the story isreal or not, Mulan has been highly respected by Chinese people as a filial model for hundreds of years. In 1998,Disney of the United States adapted the story of Mulan into an animated cartoon, which was welcomed by the whole world.
