  The woman can't believe the man doesn't know the thing about Tom's another woman.It means that everyone knew Tom has a woman outside including Daisy.Tom seems not to try to hide it.I should say he is a very disgusting man in this thing.He never want to take care of what Daisy feels.No wonder Daisy turn to Gatsby so easily.
