Is it for sure that there will be no flaws when one cleanses away all distracting thoughts and watches the world with a clear, peaceful mind? (Laozi) 去书内

It is not certain that a mind free of distractions will be entirely flawless when observing the world. Clearing greedy and chaotic thoughts as Laozi advised can remove subjective biases and impulsive judgment, letting people view things calmly and objectively, which greatly reduces personal mistakes caused by desire and anxiety. Yet human beings are born with limited perception and inherent cognitive boundaries. A peaceful mind eliminates inner disturbances, but cannot erase the limits of one’s experience, knowledge and vision. People may still misunderstand complex matters due to insufficient information, no matter how pure their mind is. Inner peace only guarantees fair and sincere observation, rather than absolute perfection. It minimizes subjective flaws, while objective limitations still exist in all human understanding of the world.
