Although the author was a Christian, and undoubtedly put forward those arguments and drew this conclution with the Catholic position, he was basically right about the necessity of Theology in all the teachings of a university. An atheist might question his arguments' objectivity and never regard Theology as a condition of general knowledge especially in those nations without the Christian tradition and background, but as the author argued earlier, the strict concept of a university has determined that it shouldn't be called a university if it exclude Theolgy, which is a real branch of knowledge (though it contains some presupposition as any other subjects do).
