  Personally,I think this story is not that believable. Ido not approve that a woman can  bear any one hurt her child but keep silent becuase of her love love for a man.

  And the clue of the case is not that clear to make readers understand how Holmes solve it.

  I've also read the Chinese edition of Sherlock Holmes and it is confusing, too.

  Yes we all should admit that Sherlock Holmes is really fansinating in view of the plot and the language it uses is graceful.

  But we should also notice that it is not that rational. So Sherlock Holmes can be a great charaacter of fiction but not a good detector.
