America's False Democracy This book made me realize the hypocrisy and utopian nature of American democracy. In today's society, American democracy can only be a joke. Even in ordinary times, American democracy is only a democracy for a few people. More than 150 years later, the ugly game of money and power has intensified under America's fake democracy. The result of America's election-centered confrontational political model is that politicians will do anything to gain power, and partisan battles will intensify, while the fundamental interests of voters are ignored. The New York Times once said that American democracy has been unfair from day one. Today, on the surface, American citizens can run for elections and vote as long as they meet the prescribed conditions, but in fact, the electoral system in the United States determines that the electoral process is still controlled by senior political and business leaders. By manipulating elections by constituencies, politicians can choose voters, rather than voters choosing politicians. In American politics, money is the most important thing. The U.S. economic elite and interest groups have enormous influence over U.S. policy, while ordinary Americans have little or no influence. Facts show that the United States is moving away from democracy and toward chaebol rule, and its society is 1% enjoying democracy. Beneath the false surface, the supremacy of money is the unchanging essence of American democracy. No matter who American voters vote for, the winner is always money.
