I bought this book during the winter vacation, and I just picked it up now. I remember being incomprehensibly rusty when I read the collection of "Spots on the Wall", so I felt good when I saw this book. Although it is still a stream of consciousness writing, but enough detailed content and coherent plot is still relatively easy to understand.

“But Rezia Warren Smith cried, walking down Harley Street, that...” 全部笔记(1) 去书内
When Mrs. Dalloway returns to the noisy party again, she hears Sally, who was free and easy when she was young, talking to Peter, who was never too idealistic. Topics ranged from Plato in his youth to his marriage and family. She suddenly realized that the truth of life was that everyone was writing on the walls.

““Trust everything to me,” he said, and dismissed them” 全部笔记(1) 去书内
The description of the characters in this book is like a carefully choreographed symphony. Woolf skillfully uses the technique of "polyphony" to weave the inner world of the characters together, forming a song of praise for life. Every chapter and paragraph is full of rhythm, which makes people involuntarily immersed in it and unable to extricate themselves. This is actually a little difficult, I also need to slowly understand slowly precipitate.

"Aeroplanes and mysterious cars that advertise smoke in the sky" switch perspectives through the flow of consciousness of different characters. For example, as the plane hovers in the sky, the attention of different characters is drawn, and their consciousness flows intertwine, creating a multi-perspective narrative effect.

“The fellow made a distasteful impression” 全部笔记(1) 去书内
"She felt very young and indescribably old at the same time." That's the classic of the classic! It goes deep into Clarissa's heart, shows her contradictory feelings about her age, and reflects the profound revelation of the complicated psychology of the characters by the stream of consciousness technique. I loved it so much that I copied it in one of my novels, and then it became a golden quote
