“The bronze age of China, as far as present knowledge goes,...” 全部笔记(1) 去书内

After the Revolution of 1911, simple written records are no longer considered as valid evidence. The movement to find evidence brought about revolutionary changes and gave birth to archaeology in China. The author then puts forward the important task of modern archaeologists: not only to find evidence, but also to answer new questions. Among these problems, two key ones are the origin and formation of the Chinese nation, that is, who was the earliest China people? The second is about the nature and formation of China civilization, that is, how did China civilization develop? The author tries to answer the above two questions on the basis of modern archaeology. Starting from the skull discovered by cavemen in Zhoukoudian in 1933, this paper discusses the ethnic history of China people and studies the relationship between cavemen's bones and the historical formation of the Chinese nation.
