The brave Jan
Big Boss
Jan killed Mistah Gordon, as brave and honorable a gentleman. As his partners were going to hang him as a kind of punishment, Jan did not submit to them easily but struggled all the time. That's why I think the novel was named Jan, the Unrepentant. Though he thought he killed a man, he still fought for his own life. His courage and wise and clam quality made me feel respected. What's more, the man who was killed by Jan didn't die finally, which was the most surprising thing of the novel. It was Jan himself that strove for time for his survival. A good novel!
