Mr. Gu hongming has the general characteristics of masters in Ming dynasty. He has a thorough knowledge of Chinese and western culture and is proficient in traditional culture. He also widely accepts western culture. Therefore, I think this book is more based on the traditional perspective of the introduction of Confucianism. Mr Personally, better is mentioned in the book a conclusion because the Chinese Confucianism, Confucianism as the western religions, for this society to establish a set of ethics, but, because Confucianism is not up to the trust and admiration for the founder of this is why Confucianism is not a religion but a kind of thought, can only become a substitute for religion. Confucianism advocates the sense of honor, which is based on the human heart and does not rely on external forces, so from the inside to the outside of the self-restraint, without the help of external forces, can avoid the flooding of external forces. This is what I understand the meaning of the book.
