I wasn't very interested when I first started reading this book,but later I was deeply moved by the Chinese spirit mentioned in Mr. Gu's book .Chinese people possess the fourvirtues of profundity, broadness, simplicity andspirituality.Each is valuable.We have these spirits because Confucianism plays a big role.Mr.Gu even advocated to use traditional Chinese Confucianism to solve problems in western society and reform them.Many foreigners think the Chinese are weak.In fact, they do not know the Chinese are not weak but gentle.To understand the real Chinese peopleand Chinese ciilization,the person must be deep，broad and simple,then there is "delicacy" . We should be proud to be Chinese.Since the late qing dynasty, the image of Chinese people has been seriously distorted，Chinese are looke down upon,we should know we are not weakness by nature, not weakness to yield, but not toughness, notharshness, not rudeness, not violence.The Chinese nation is an ancient, young and energetic one.
