In the winter holiday, I read gu hongming's the spirit of Chinese people, which reveals the spiritual life of Chinese people and expounds the eternal value of Chinese traditional culture. Since the late qing dynasty, China's image has been seriously distorted. At this time, Mr. Gu hongming maintained the dignity of Chinese culture with his own pen and changed some westerners' prejudice against China. In his book, gu hongming compared Chinese people with americans, British, germans and French, pointed out that Chinese people possessed more virtues at the same time, and advocated the traditional Chinese Confucianism to solve the problems existing in western society. This book truly defends Chinese traditional culture.
