A Tale of Two Cities was written by Charles Dickens in 1859. This book is one of his most important masterpieces and is considered to be the most successful literary masterpiece reflecting the French revolution.To some extent, A Tale of Two Cities is a historical novel. But I still insist on understanding it purely from the point of view of love. For to shake my heart is not the destructive power of revolution and vengeance, but the healing power of love.
