The little prince is a famous short story written by Antoine de Saint Exupery in 1942. The main character of the book is the little prince from a small plant. In the book, a pilot tells the stories of the little prince. The narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane crashes in the Sahara. In this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet named Asteroid B612. The little prince fell in love with a rose on his planet, but he was too young to know how to love her, and they had a quarrel. The little prince left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids. On his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, including a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. From these people he knows that the grown-ups are very odd. Following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the Sahara, on the earth. During his travel on the earth, the little prince, sees a garden of five-thousand roses, and he is overcome with astonishment and sadness, as he considers his rose is unique in the universe before. A fox then appears and they become new friend. The fox makes him know that his rose is unique because she is his own rose and tamed by him. From that the little prince begins to treasure friendship and be responsible to his rose. Finally, he decides to go back to his own planet by bite of a snake. “It’s too far. I cannot carry this body with me. It’s too heavy.” he said. He tells the pilot, he must be responsible for his rose, so he has to go back. At the end the author doesn’t tell us the ending directly, maybe it’s more significant for us to imagine, and for more, think over. The rose, growing on the planet, is very beautiful, but her coquetry and vanity suffer the little prince. On the time of his departure, they got to know how they loved each other. The author told us a pure story, but it’s more like the life story of the author. I think that the most lamentable is the author An toine de Saint Exupery. If we don't understand him, we can't really understand little prince. Many people still speculate about the relationship between Dream of Red Mansions and Cao Xueqin until now. It's not so complicated here in Saint Exupery. He is writing his own story with little prince. The rose in the story is the wife of Saint Exupery, consuro sangxing, a South American beauty. Saint Exupery met her in Argentina when she was 30 years old. In order to please her, he had to prove that he was more talented than her lost ex-husband, a famous journalist and adventurer. Therefore, he often locked himself in the room and wrote for several days and nights to please the beauty. As the little prince said, " If someone loves a flower, of which just one single blossom grows in all the millions and millions of stars, it is enough to make him happy just to look at the stars. He can say to himself, "Somewhere, my flower is there…". However, on the day they got married in 1931, the bride wore a black mourning dress. The fox told the little prince, " It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important. Men have forgotten this truth. But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose…" I'm afraid that every man who has experienced lovelorn has had the sadness behind the sentence, but in this world, only Saint Exupery has written it. The tamed fox in the desert may represent his lover, Silvia Reinhardt. The story in the desert may have come from the scenery he saw in his early flight to explore the African Latin American route. The desert and stars in the story may come from the night sky in Morocco. Saint Exupery once lived alone in a cabin in a deserted fortress.Perhaps it was in this "loneliest place in the world". Saint Exupery imagined a little prince, and then wrote it out. The story of the little prince and the story of Saint Exupery are inseparable. It seems that Saint Exupery's life experience is preparing for the litt le prince. When Saint Exupery has written all his life into the story, his life mission seems to be completed, and we may imagine that he can finally do what he wants to do with freedom. However, at 8:45 a.m. on July 31, 1944, in that beautiful summer day, after St. Exupery set off from Bastia on the northern side of Corsica to the east of Lyon in a plane., he never returned.
