The man woke up
Werther was born in a middle class family and had a good education. He liked writing poems and drawing. And he was so sentimental about many things. To relax himself, He came to a village by using the inheritance of his father. But this trip changed his life. He fell in love with a girl who had an engagement. After the failure of working, he came back to the city. However, he was sidelined by his boss, colleagues and the nobility. After a few years, when he came the village again, he found everything had changed. On Christmas Eve, he gave the farewell to that girl he loved. Then two days later he ended his life and sorrows by gun. This novel greatly might be an autobiography. Goethe took his similar experience on Werther's life. Although this novel described a boy's love story, in fact it embodied that accusation and revolt against the feudal force in then Germany. It satirized that the ruling class oppressed and undermined the common people. But Werther who was awake had a tragedy because of lack of power to resist. He gave the people a big enlightenment to start the movement.
