Be Optimistic About Lives

The Sorrow of Young Werther is a sad story which ends up with the protagonist—young Werther’s death. Werther is a sentimental man who falls in love with the wife of another man, called Charlotte. Their relationship can never be stopped. Although he attempts to hide his love to Charlotte，he is drawn back to her again. He cannot control himself at all. However，out of disappointment for reality and respect for her husband，Lotte finally chose to ask Albert for a pistol on the pretext of hunting and then kill himself in silence. After reading this book，I often feels sorry for Werther. He is a kind-hearted, loving, treasonous man, he pursues individual liberation, he hopes to get love and happiness, he loves life，loves adolescence. But because of his own character and the cool world he lives in, he can’t get what he want. What he has got is just loneliness, hopelessness, sadness and finally he choose to suicide. So he is also a poor and pitiful one. Besides，I think we should cherish our lives. The road of our lives is not always flat，we have to face the setbacks and difficulties instead fleeing or giving up. Therefore，be optimistic and to embrace the wonderful future，everything would move towards a brighter side.
