"Young Witt's troubles" is a work full of tragic beauty. When I heard Witt read Greek epic for Charlotte for the last time, I could not help but burst into tears.I have always doubted whether there is a man like Witt who is willing to die for a desperate love. Although I fully understand that Witt can not find spiritual sustenance in the upper class of vulgar forces and the simple but dull villagers. Charlotte is like a pure fairy to him, carrying all his yearning for truth, goodness and beauty. Charlotte and Witt both love literature. They are real soulmates. Although Xia understands Witt's mind, he treats him as a good friend all the time, which makes him miserable. Witte tried to leave Charlotte's village to forget her, but the depressing reality made him realize that only love for Charlotte was his only salvation.
