The Scarlet Letter

The book mainly introduce four peraons,Hester,little Pearl,Roger,young priest Dimmedales.Roger was Hester's husband,but Dimmesdales was her lover.And little Pearl is the child of Hester and Dimmesdales.I can read that the religion was very holy and strict at that time.It limited and instructed people's life.At first,the young priest had no bravery to commit his sin with Hester.He struggled and suffered,finally he died for it.Before he commited his sin in public,Hester was contempted by all people all the time. We all know that the revenge would not let us be happy.Actually,Roger wasted all his life in the agony.In my view,a person who had sinned,I mean the person is not so bad to be killed, should have a chance to change.We should give him or her a chance to become a better person.
