review of The Pupil

The pupil is a story written by Henry James who is American novelist, literary critic, playwright and essayist. The story is about a college student with no sense of belonging who chooese to be a tutor to earn money in order to survive. And he forms a deep friendship with the 11-year-old pupil when he is tutoring. The pupil, who suffers from heart disease and is at odds with the rest of his family, had hoped to live with his tutor forever, but it didn't work out that way. And the story ends with a sad ending. The novel's tragic ending is both classic and ironic. It is really worthy to read.
