All we can learn

At the beginning of 2020,  I came across  this book, my feelings are self-evident.

After careful observation, Camus wrote precise and accurate words. He's not a prophet. But from the plague of his time to coVID-19 today, mankind has been repeating the same mistakes all the time. When t he disaster crept in, the people were indifferent, the officials were hesitant and arrogant  and the rumors were noisy but could not grasp the point, and only a few doctors were brave enough to shout, and people gradually accepted the arrival of the epidemic. And all we can conclude is that human ’ s lives are so small to mention in the big world and there are always heroes who stand out to protect the interests of the community.

The book's understanding of the plague is not entirely critical, but has a deep sympathy and understanding of the people in the disaster. Disaster forced people to close the city, and those who were locked inside waited endlessly, for letters from their families, for a moment of freedom. 'I'm not interested in being a hero or a saint myself,' Dr. Rieu says. 'I'm interested in being a human being.' Mr. Rieu's generosity and love, his sense of responsibility, and, like so many of the doctors in this epidemic, saved our lives and saved the world.
