The book contains many stories that readers are familiar with. For example: Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, Ali Baba and the Forty Robbers, Simboda Voyage and so on. But all these stories have a common thread: There was a king named Shahryar. He was a tyrant. Every night he would take a bride and kill her the next day. The chancellor's daughter, Scheherazade, was so clever that she willingly married the king and told him a story every night, but she didn't finish the story. The king had to postpone the execution time after time. This lasted until the thousand and one nights. At last she moved the king and gave up the execution.
