Book Review

叶凡
The book tells us a story that happened in a town called Oran. An epidemic named plague spread there, and the town had to be locked. Rieux, a young doctor, made great efforts to the “battle” with plague. Certainly, there were still many people contributing a lot. For instance, Tarrou, volunteering to help the doctor without hesitation, and Rambert, willing to try his best for the public although he is only a tourist. After reading the book, I have a feeling that when facing big challenges, all men should work together. Tarrou had said, “Each of us has plague within him, no one, no one on earth is free from it.” The plague needs all people in Oran pay their efforts to defeat it. People there are gradually aware that they should stay at home, reducing the frequency of going out. Because of most people controlling themselves under the guidance of the government, a positive effect was made on the battle with the plague. Anyway, the joint effort, from my perspective, is what matters in face of great challenges.
