Wuthering Heights

Wuthering Heights is a love tragedy, it shows people the picture of a deformed society, which distorts the human nature and then causes a lot of horrible events.The plot of the whole story spread out in four stages.The first stage narrates the childhood of Heathcliff and Catherine.An outcast and a young lady develop a peculiar feeling in this peculiar circumstance ,and they fight together against Hindley's tyranny.The second stage focuses on Catherine who abandons Heathcliff because of vanity and ignorance and becomes the mistress of Thrushcross Grange.The third stage describes how Heathcliff turns hatred into revenge of the plot and action when he's filled with despair.Although the last stage mainly tells the death of Heathcliff,it highlights a new change in his thought when he knows that Hareton and little Catherine love each other, that is, the revival of human nature, which makes the sad story reveal a ray of comforting hope.
