The old fisherman
王阿2020191519
After closing the book, I closed my eyes quietly, and my mind was full
of thrilling pictures of the old man fighting with the shark. The poor
old fisherman, who had not caught a fish in eighty-four days, had gone
three days in the sea, endured three days of solitude, and brought back
only one salmon bone. Hemingway used his own unique language to create
an unsuccessful old man, and at the same time to create an elegant and
tough under the pressure of life unyielding image. The old fisherman let
me understand, a man is not always born failure, even failure is not
despair. A person can be destroyed, is eternal, but his spirit is
indelible. Only by conquering your own impossibility can you win the victory.
