Uncle Tom's Cabin was written at the height of the abolitionist
movement in the United States. With the real background and real time as
the theme, the article fully describes the humanity and darkness under
slavery in that era, so that readers can further understand the life of
black people in that era. Uncle Tom is kind and upright, and he always
holds the pious heart to forgive and treat others no matter who he is.
Although his master Arthur Shelby sold him to others for his own
reasons, he has no resentment, but thinks about others everywhere,
waiting for the day when his master will redeem him. Side with all kinds
of characters, he would - see my colleagues, he loved his little heart
and soul host Eva, at the same time for the final - a host Simon le
Gerry vicious and greedy, he will still feel sad for him, for his sake,
in little Tom belongs to own thing, because his body is to belong to buy
all his host, and his soul belongs to god, his heart is filled with all
the people; I have to admit that I am deeply impressed by him. Moved by
tenacity and persistence and holding faith, he went through a series of
difficulties and despair. Finally, his body ached and his soul died with
a smile. But at the same time I wondered whether it was right or
foolish for his peculiar resignation. Uncle Tom learned their owners to
sell, why not choose to escape, clearly know the future life
unpredictable, boundless darkness, but still obey the arrangement of the
master, yes, he is lucky met his second master, slave owners in the
article, the most compassionate augustine Clare, and the angel of his
daughter, Eva, this is the great lucky misfortune, but the second time
when where we were in the darkness of the manor, suffering from Simon le
in the devastation of torture, in this case, Mrs Casey let him and his
escape, he chose to refuse. If he left, would he still die? Why did Tom
give in to countless injustices instead of fighting for freedom and
equality? Perhaps it was his stubbornness as a Christian. But I don't
understand. Maybe I am a liberal arts student, so after reading this
book, I want to say that reform is the way to go. Slavery was a deep
constraint on the development of society. The abolition of slavery is
the best way for a nation to break free from the abyss of depravity. All
men are created equal. We should not divide them into different classes
because of the color of our skin.
