A gift for girls
Price and prejudice is a book of beautiful stories, which deserves digesting over and over again.
The book tells a story about the Bennetts girls. The eldest one, Jane, who is beautiful and considerate, falls in love with a handsome and rich young man, Mr Binley. Their love journey isn’t smooth though. The second Miss Bennett, Elithebeth, who turns out to be different from her sister, is clever, ambitious, and knows her own minds. An occasion brings Mr Darcy to her, who leaves her the first impression of pride and arrogance. So Elithebeth immediately forms a strong prejudice against him. However, after knowing what kind of man Mr Darcy really is, she accepts his love and comes into marriage at the same time with her sister. Two love stories come to a happy end.
The most important lesson this book has taught is that we should have the right love view, especially for us, girls. Instead of just taking men’s fortune and appearance into consideration, what should we think more carefully about is their qualites and world views. The former decides how deep the man will attract you, and the latter plays an important role in the length of your marriage.
