This book tells a story about Ebenezer Scrooge,an old man who was rich but a penny pincher.He was mean to everyone,no matter his nephew or his only employee.Also,he was extremely acerbity.He hated every festival,including Christmas,which was loved and celebrated widely by other people.Happiness seemed to put him away. But such a disgusting person ushered in his turning point on Christmas Eve.On that day,three spirits------the past,the present and the future paid a visit to Scrooge.Just like their names refered to,the three spirits gave him a chance to watch his past,present and the future.From the past,we can know that Scrooge hated Christmas because he was lonely and hungry on that day.When he saw nobody would be sad for him when he died,he woke up.From then on,he changed from a bad guy to a kind,generous and supportive charitarian who was adored by everyone around him. This thought-provoking story told us that we should always reflect on the past,examine the present and look forward to the future.The past is not far away from us as well as the future while the present is just like a bridge which can help you analyze the disadvantages you have or mistakes you have made and make changes to get a perfect blueprint for the future.Just like Scrooge in this book.He corrected his mistakes and ultimately became a successful charitarian.
