Sister Carrie

In my opinion,Sister Carrie is a work that reveals reality. The protagonist Carrie goes to Chicago by train to live with her sister and brother-in-law.Because her sister's family is not rich,her brother-in-law asks Carrie to find a job and pay her living expenses every month. After encountering a wall everywhere,Carrie had no ability ,but she had to pursue an upper class life.She also wanted to take her sister and brother -in-law to the theater and thought about the salesman she met on the train,but she did not know that the salesman had forgotten her long ago.Later, Carrie got tired of him and was with a more senior hotel manager. Finally,the hotel manager broke,Carrie abandoned him again. As far as I am concerned,Carrie has unlimited desire in her heart. She is at the bottom but she yearns for money and status.In order to pursue status, she abandoned people who are useless to her again and again.This is a moral decline.Now in life ,there are many people who would rather cry in a BMW than smile on a bicycle.They use the people around them just to keep up with their high money and status.In fact ,money and status are not everything .We must treat them rationally.
