After reading Jane Eyre,I fancy Jane is a heroine with a stong personality,simple,firmness and flexibility,independent,agressive woman.In this novel,Jane goes through five distinct stages,the first one is that Jane's childhood at Gateshead,where she is emotionally abused by her aunt and cousins.The second stage is about her education at Lowood School,where she acquires friends and role models but suffers privations.The third stages is her time as the governess of Thornfield Manor,where she falls in love with Edward Rochester.The fourth stage is Jane's time with the Rivers family at Moor House and Morton,where her cold clergyman-cousin St John proposes to her.The last stage is her reunion with and marrige to her beloved Rochester at his house of Ferndean.A word from Jane"Do you think I can stay to become nothing to you?Do you think I am an automation?--a machine without fellings? " which impressed me deeply.Because it reflects Jane's self-respect /striving for life and the equality her pursuit.Actually,Jane wasn't pretty.Her ordinary apperance didn't make others feel good of her,even her own aunt felt disgusted with it.But she had said"Do you think because I am poor,obscure,plain,and little,I am soulless and heartless?You think wrong!"As far as I am concerned,a person's beauty on the face can only make others feel good,but this kind of charming can't last for a long time.Only a person's great virtue,a noble soul,a beautiful heart can be called as an everlasting beauty.So, Jane is a mirror shining a light on our shortcomings,so that we can find the right direction in life to get back what we have lost and make us have confidence and the courage to face with difficulties and overcome difficulties.
