Reading report

It is a classic work of Fei Xiaotong on the rural areas of traditional Chinese grassroots society. The book, written in the late 1940s based on fei's "rural sociology" course, is short and concise, with simple but deep precision. The author uses popular and concise language to analyze the structure of Chinese rural society from the aspects of cultural transmission, family system, moral concept, social change and so on, and constructs the unique rural ethical system of Chinese society. It provides an important reference for understanding the basic characteristics of Chinese social culture.
