A Reading Report

This novel told an old man named Scrooge who put money first. Even on Christmas Eve, he was also quite mean to everybody. However, there's a turning point emerging. It mainly talked about the three spirits. The first spirit stood for the past which showed the happy times in the former days. In those periods ,Scrooge always said "Merry Christmas" to whoever he met. He loved life and enjoyed everything in his life. It also showed the first job of Scrooge. His boss treated them very well on Christmas. But not far away from it ,Scrooge gradually changed. He loved money more than his lover. So his lover parted with him. It's the money that made Scrooge lose many things. The second stands for the present. In this part , he became more greedy. He has no mercy for everything and no one is afraid of him. The third spirit stands for the future. In this part, it showed that Scrooge regretted what he had done. And Scrooge was impressed at last. He understood money is not the only thing that is worth reserving. Love and care were important too. Hopefully to see Scrooge fulfill his promise and become a good man. He did many things, like knowing good things, and some other unknown little things. God blessed him so,instead of staying alone in his money cellar for the rest of his life, he walked into the streets and alleys to help those he could help. How I wish such a miracle could happen to people like scrooge. All in all, this story has a perfect end. From this story, I realized that in this world, money is not everything. We also need love and help.
