Analysis of the book

This book introduces four kinds of power that have existed for a long time in the continuous development of local society. They are violent power, consent power, elder power and current power. Fei Xiaotong believes that if such a thing to maintain private morality works for the Chinese people, it is not easy to develop a public sphere. Therefore, we need to build the country on a more pragmatic basis rather than an overly idealistic idea.
