Book Review In 14-20 chapters,things changed so quickly than I thought. It was reasonable that Clare could not accept Tess’s pass experience,but it cannot be the reason for him to go away from her.He just left her alone to deal with the hard reality.In my opinion,although Clare had advanced ideas,he still not generous and brave enough to face the truth.It seemed that he was the only person in the world understand Tess.His response made Tess so depressing as she would always have laid down her life for Clare.Clare even refused her letter.Although finally Clare changed his mind and realized his cruelty to Tess,it’s too late.The wicked man again inveigled Tess,helping her change solve the problems.As a woman’s strength cannot last forever,and water,if drop continually,will wear away a stone,yes even a diamond.Even though Tess wrote some letters to Clare for help,they were in vain because his outing.How pitiful Tess was!She was always the same girl with purity and kindness in her heart though always joked about her. I thought it was not surprising that she finally killed the man who ruined her purity,her life,her marriage.She cannot refused that he was her natural husband.The pass experience made her so painful.Therefore,she would make a measure one day to rid of the hard life she suffered. In my opinion,Tess’s life was difficult at all.She born in a poor family with lazy parents and many sitters and brothers.Unfortunately,she was seduced by Alec,who has the same ancestor with her.The only lucky thing was that she found her true lover,enjoying a short but happy life.It seems that the surname d’Urberville was like a heavy lock along with Tess’s life as she suffered a lot. The honorable surname was a big unfortunate like a shame in Tess’s life. Of course,Tess so innocent that she fell into trap twice. However,I think the second one was avoidable if she was confident enough about her husband’s love. As far as I am concerned,girls should be pure but have the abilities to protect themselves, and also confident to stick to their love.We should learn how to protect ourselves early even in kindergarten.Mankind should build a stronger psychological quality to face difficulties.It is believed that justices will come one day.Love has a habit of changing people’s lives,which is a force to be respected.In the end,I think we should love the life and cherish what we have as sun always rises as usual and life moves on.
