幻梦
Austen's Pride and Prejudice, which, as she says, is carefully carved on
two inches of ivory, is austen's masterpiece. The novel, which deals
with marital problems, is the author's most popular book and her
personal favorite. The work vividly reflects the conservative and closed
British village life and social conditions from the end of 18th century
to the beginning of 19th century. His novels of social style not only
attracted a large number of readers at that time, but also give readers
unique artistic enjoyment up to now. She was one of the first novelists
to realistically depict everyday life, serving as a link between the
preceding and the following in the history of English fiction. The
whole work does not have the sweeping momentum, there is no twists and
turns of the plot, but this kind of simplicity, so far deeply attracted
us. Austen spent most of her short life in the English countryside.
Perhaps it was the simple and quiet atmosphere around her that bred her
indifferent temperament. We should not doubt her ability to analyze
things because of her lack of rich experience. People who have read
Pride and Prejudice will be impressed by her delicate and sensitive
feelings. Isn't it a gift that she was only a teenage girl when she
wrote Pride and Prejudice? It is true that she had little contact with
"the outside world," but the existence of thought, the
existence of imagination, the existence of all these things is enough
