《简爱》

Jane Eyre is a classic in the history of British literature. Its
greatness lies in the successful creation of a strong image of a woman
who insists on maintaining an independent personality, seeks freedom of
personality, advocates equality in life, and does not yield to fate.
The first time I read this book was in junior high school. At that time,
my understanding of it was very shallow, and I simply sighed about Jane
Eyre's unjust and miserable life. After three years of high school
re-reading, I had a different experience than before. The miserable She
is not the only one, this reflects a social phenomenon of unfair sexism.
Until now, when I entered the university, I picked it up again, and if I
tasted it carefully, it was another taste. The protagonist of the
novel, Jane Eyre, has lost both her parents since she was a child, and
lives a life of dependence. At a young age, he was treated differently
from his peers: disliked by his aunt, contempt by his cousin, insulted
and beaten by his cousin... and even abandoned and sent to Lowood School
in a harsh environment. Reading this, I am both saddened by Jane Eyre's
misfortune and angry at the ruthlessness of these people. The virtuous
Mr. Brockelhurst not only slandered her in front of all the teachers and
students, but also made her show it in front of everyone. It can be said
that Jane Eyre's childhood was unfortunate. However, in the face of
these misfortunes and hardships, she did not shrink back, but faced them
bravely and tenaciously, turning it into a driving force to overcome
misfortunes and hardships. Not only has he made rapid progress in
learning, but also gained the understanding of teachers and students
throughout the school. Similarly, in front of those noble ladies and
gentlemen, she has always maintained a noble dignity. In the face of
ridicule and sarcasm, she never felt inferior because she was a
low-status governess. She thinks they are equal and respected by others.
"Is it just because I am poor, unknown, mediocre in appearance,
short in stature, have no soul, no heart - you are wrong, my heart is as
rich as yours, and my heart is as full as yours!" It was precisely
because of her His integrity, nobility and purity deeply moved Mr.
Rochester, making him feel ashamed and in awe of Jane Eyre. In the end,
Jane Eyre finally found her own happiness. It is through this novel that
it is not difficult for us to find that the protagonist Jane Eyre has a
shadow of the author himself. Charlotte Bronte was born into a poor
pastor's family. She lost her mother when she was young. Influenced by
her educated father, she developed a strong interest in literature since
childhood. However, family changes and the social status quo at that
time doomed her literary path to not be smooth. And she did not give up
because of this, and finally wrote this far-reaching "Jane
Eyre". French writer Poigny once said: "Ordinary people obey
their fate, only the strong are their masters." From Jane Eyre and
Charlotte, I really understand the meaning of this sentence.
