Book review of《The Old Man and the Sea》

This novel is mainly about an old fisherman named Santiago who failed to catch fish for 84 days and went to sea again to prove himself. But unfortunately, he met a marlin bigger than his boat. They've been working aroundThe old man took three days to kill the marlin.But unexpectedly, in the process of returning to Hong Kong, many sharks were attracted because of the bloody smell of marlin. Although the old man finally returned to Hong Kong, the sharks also ate up the marlin, leaving only the bones. I think that although the old man failed to bring the complete marlin back to shore, he could be regarded as a failure, but in a sense, he also succeeded.In the article, my favorite part is the confrontation between the old man and the marlin. The marlin surfaced to fight with the old man to death. This passage makes me feel wonderful. The author writes about the trend of the marlin and the old man's heart. Whether the old fisherman faced the marlin or the shark, he did not give up. He endured their attacks while fighting back, and was patient and very calm. Although the marlin and the shark were much stronger than him, he was not afraid, but bravely faced difficulties.
