Struggle And Courage

   "The Old Man and the Sea" tells the inspirational story of an experienced fisherman who struggles with nature. After 84 days of failure, Santiago embarked on the journey again. This time, after two days and nights of struggle with a huge Marlin, he finally succeeded in capturing it. After unremitting efforts, the old fisherman was also physically and mentally tired and thought he could return smoothly. Unfortunately, however, he was greeted by a bigger test on his way back. The smell of this marlin attracted shark attacks. At the end of the story, although the big fish was eaten by a shark with only a skeleton, it still won the respect of other fishermen and the honor belonging to the old fisherman. In my eyes, the old man will always be the most dazzling existence.

     After reading "the Old Man and the Sea", the sentence that touched me most was "But man is not made for defeat.A man can be destroyed but not defeated." Everything and material things that a person has can be destroyed, but his spirit and will can never be defeated. We will inevitably encounter all kinds of difficulties and even failures in our lives. In any case, people have to face it. The difference is your attitude towards it. In fact, the difficulty is not terrible, as long as you have the courage and confidence to challenge it, then, even if you seem to have failed, your heart is still filled with pride to overcome yourself.

  I hope that if we encounter any difficulties in the future, we will remember the great spirit brought to us by Santiago and move forward with this great spirit.
