Treasure Island is a novel written by Robert Steven son, a British
novelist. It tells the story of Jim, a young English man in the mid-18th
century, who got the?lengendary treasure map from the dying sailor Burns
and organised an expedition to Treasure Island with the support of local
quires. He fought priates with Gunn people and eventually put an end to
the story of the rebellion and the sucessful acquisition of the
teasure. It is based on the real theme. The desert island in the book,
Coco Island, is located in the Pacific Ocean 483 kilometres away from
the coast of Costa Rica. It was once a resting place for priates in the
17 century. Pirate often hide their plundered treasures here. Therefore,
this beautiful island is full of mystery. It is said that there are at
least six treasures on the island. It is developed from the first
perspective of young Jim.The author successfully grasped the prospective
of a child and described it in the first person, which not only enhanced
the intimacy of the article, but also made the whole narrative conform
to the child's habits from the tone of speech to the choice of words and
sentences. Treasure Island is an amazing tale, but it also the story of
one boy---Jim's coming age. This story told us many useful things, which
I will share with you. Every coin has two sides, on the one side:The
satisfaction. Treasure Island explores the desires, and indeed. The
motivation of all the character if greed: everyone wants the treasure.
But Stevenson casts doubt on the possibility of ultimate satisfaction.
For the priates, desire the treasures. As the treasure map leads them to
an empty hole. That hole is a symbol of the futility. Their greed and
irrationality lead to death, loss and dissatisfaction. On the other
side: the lack of adventure in the modern age. Stevenson suggest that
the tale firmly belong to the past than the present. In the book, he
means to point out that the life of the priates is outdated, but he
doesn't mourn its loss. He makes us wonder?whether?the?world is better
off without the priates'charisma, charm and spirit. Thus he feels sorry
for something that he feels is missing from the modern world in a sad
tongue. After sorting out Captain Bill's belongings, Jim found a
treasure map. So he fought openly and secretly with the squire and a
doctor on Treasure Island with the pirvate. Finally, he recaptured the
ship and returned safely with the treasure.I don't have Jim's
intelligence and determination in my life. If Jim where replaced by me.
The pirates would surely succeed. There is also a pirate named Silver
who only has one leg in this book.He also impressed me very much.Because
in order to survive,he changed his ways, protected Jim and regained
everyone's trust. In the end, of crouse. He seemed to have a priate
instinct and took some gold coins. This also reflects the difference
between him and Jim. Jim defeated the pirates. Although he corrected, he
returned to his nature after all. As the saying goes, it's easy to
change one's nature. After reading this book, my heart could not be
pacified for a long time. The hardships of the whole experience were
shocking. But Jim escaped from the danger again and again with his
bravery, which made me admire him very much.We also face many
difficulties in our daily life. We should be calm and calm like Jim. We
believe that all problems can be solved. In addition, he also tells us
that the most valuable thing in the world is not money but friendship
and love. We should not bow to suffering in life and study.
