Jane Eyre lost her parents when she was a child and fostered in her
aunt's house, and although she tried her best, it was still difficult to
win her aunt's favor. Later, she was sent to a charity school and
continued to study under extremely harsh conditions. After graduating
from charity school, Jane Eyre plucked up the courage to welcome a new
life and applied to Thornfield Manor as a tutor. Just as she was in
love, a secret that had been hidden for 15 years made the wedding come
to naught. Rochester is married and has a crazy wife. Jane Eyre later
left Rochester. In the end, Thornfield Manor was set on fire by
Rochester's mad wife and burned himself to death, and Rochester was
blind. Jane Eyre later returned to Rochester. In the novel, we
constantly see the heroine Jane Eyre's clear sense of financial
independence flashing. From the moment Jane Eyre entered Thornfield
Manor, she distanced herself from the owner of the manor, Rochester,
knowing that she was a "paid subordinate" of the owner. When
she fell in love with Rochester, she "felt even more chilled... The
thought of the wider chasm between me and the person I inevitably fell
in love with—wealth, status, customs—made my heart feel even more
desolate. "Any way of expressing love with belongings in Rochester
caused her to be troubled and her self-esteem hurt. She told Rochester,
"I will continue to be Adele's governess so that I can earn my own
room and board, and a Chinese New Year's Eve of my salary." I will
equip my wardrobe with this money. After leaving Thornfield Manor, she
taught the daughters of farmers in the Moulton Valley, and nurtured in
them the germ of virtue. And from the respect of the locals to her, Jane
Eyre also experienced the fulfillment and pleasure brought by labor.
Jane Eyre pursues a spiritually equal love and an economically
independent marriage. In her mind, economic independence is the pillar
of her quest for freedom, equality and personal independence. Only on
the basis of economic independence did she feel free and equal, hereal
person. Therefore, the love that Jane Eyre pursues from beginning to end
is mutual respect and complete equality. Women's quest for freedom and
equality must rely on economic autonomy. In contrast, in today's
society, there are many women who are willing to be accessories of men
and lose themselves in order to covet material enjoyment and give up
their dignity. Most were eventually abandoned, but they did not have the
skills to survive, which was pitiful, hateful and pathetic. The freedom,
equality, faith, and conviction of human society are all based on being
an independent person, so that it is possible to realize the true value
of a person's life.As a new era of women following the example of Jane
Eyre, pursue the independent personality, self-esteem, self-respect
character, indomitable fighting spirit. Equality and freedom of love,
like Jane Eyre do ordinary but not mediocrity, self-esteem as a capital
standing between heaven and earth.
