Success or faith

Hemingway used only tens of thousands of words to create Santiago's "code hero". The weather-beaten old man, who seemed to be about to be forgotten by time, fished alone in the sea for eighty-four days without anything. When he finally caught a big fish, it took two days and two nights to stab it to death. On the way back, he was attacked by a shark. After a day and a night of fighting, The only thing left was an empty skeleton. From the perspective of ordinary people, this was undoubtedly a failed fishing. But the old man did not lose hope and confidence, after resting, still ready to go to sea again and again...

In the vast sea, in the face of everything unknown, anyone was powerless and small. And the hero Sandiago, with his old body, alone in the vast world of the boat, constantly searching for the meaning of his life, shoulder the responsibility as a fisherman, looking for his success again.

He could have given himself a rest. The big fish will die in the shark's mouth. But he didn't want to go down without a fight. He could have left empty-handed, but he did not stop, fighting the shark with one weapon after another until he was left with nothing but his bare hands. Even though some people think that only bringing back the whole fish, not the bones, was a success. However, no matter what result he faced, the old man did not consider himself a failure. 

However, we do see that many people always complain about their lack of ability. For some people, it is too difficult to do something or their difficulties.  It may be true, but for many other people, it only shows that they have lost confidence..

"A man is not made for defeat,a man can be destroyed but not defeated."In his eyes, every time was a new beginning. He was portrayed as brave and strong during the fishing process, believing in his inner strength and refusing to accept failure. This spiritual strength can also make people brave enough to face the suffering of life.
