Pride and Prejudice

It is well known that “Pride and Prejudice” is a novel written by a famous writer named Jane Austen. Her works mainly focus on the marriage and life of the women in the family of the gentry, and describe the small world around her with her unique meticulous observation and lively and interesting words. This book vividly reflects the late 18th century to the early 19th century under the conservation and closed state of rural and the world. In this novel-- “Pride and Prejudice”, through the five daughters (Jan, Elizabeth, Kitty, Lydia Wilt, Mary) of Bennet’s different treatment of life events shows the different attitudes of the girls from the middle-class family in the township towards marriage and love, which reflects the author’s own view of marriage: It is wrong to marry for property, money and status; It would be foolish to marry without considering these factors.The relationship between the five daughters and their parents is independent of each other. Although the mother is enthusiastic about her own marriage, she still cannot replace her own decision. The children can fully have privacy and individual has considerable independence.
