Reading this book, I first think about the history of The Pestilence. In December 2019, the coronavirus is spreading across the world, some people are comparing this world epidemic with the Spanish Flu 100 years ago. And yet, the worst plague is actually not one of those two above. One of the worst plagues is The Pestilence, which is also called the Black Death in the Middle ages. Europe, Mediterranean Sicilian Port, 1347, fleets of ships loaded with spice and pepper came from the Black Sea into the port, it was the most exciting moment to the city, because ships full of goods often means full of money.
