The Scarlet Letter
The Scarlet Letter is not easy to understand, and in the process of reading it, there is always a feeling of suffocation when one's heart is clenched, especially in the last part of the novel, Hawthorne makes Dimmesdale confess in the sermon in a rousing and holy way, so that this priest, who is burdened with the evil consequences of worldly sins and desires, completes his prayer and redemption in front of the citizens of Boston. The plot of The Scarlet Letter is as deep and painful as Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1, which contains a rebellion and a deep reflection on the "original sin" of mankind.
