 "Man is not made for failure; a man can be destroyed, but not defeated." So said the text of The Old Man and the Sea. One may fail, but what matters is how one faces defeat. After failure, one should get back up, continue to fight and fight for victory. Even if we cannot succeed in the end, we should still be a hero who is not afraid of failure, at least we can say: "We came, we saw, we tried."   The story of "The Old Man and the Sea" is about an old man who decided to go fishing alone in the far sea after not catching any fish for eighty-four days. A big marlin was hooked, but the old man couldn't conquer it in a short time. But the old man made up his mind and fought hard against the big fish until it was tied to the side of the boat. Attracted by the smell of blood, the sharks attacked the carcass of the big marlin again and again, so that the old man's "trophy" was finally only a skeleton. The old man returns to his home and once again dreams of lions.   Fighting, the old man fights hard towards hope. In the wide sea, the pain comes again and again, the difficulties become a stumbling block again and again. But did the old man retreat? No. Did he think of giving up? Maybe he did, but with the support of courage and strong faith, he persevered. In the face of difficulties, the old man did not give in. The old man is a hero, an invincible giant!   Perseverance, the old man had strong perseverance. He endured severe pain, but still struggling with the big marlin, still completing his mission. Perseverance is the guarantee of success, the road to success can not be smooth, perhaps difficult, perhaps difficult and dangerous. But it can not stop a person with perseverance. "Difficulties are like springs, you are weak it is strong, you are strong it is weak" With perseverance, you have courage; with courage, you have the determination to overcome difficulties; with determination, the greatest difficulties are not a problem! 　　When the old man was in a state of delirium, his perseverance kept him going. Looking back, I realize how bumpy the road I have traveled and how hard it was to do what I did. And will feel proud of myself, without regret. And how surprised you are inside when you see the footprints you left behind. The old man will feel the same when he sees the skeleton of a big marlin!   Persistence, the old man always persists and never gives up.  "I'll stay with you until you die" is what the old man said to the big marlin. He had made up his mind, and he would take responsibility for it. The pain came again and again, and the old man felt that he was dying, but he still persisted and kept his promise, even putting his own life and death at stake. The old man probably reminded himself in his mind: persistence, persistence is victory. When the old man used his last ounce of strength to tie up the big fish, he let out a long breath, is immediately feel physically and mentally exhausted? Or refreshed, throwing away all the pain, almost jumping for joy? The old man may feel somewhere in between, because he is an old man with ideals, goals and congeniality.   Frankly, the old man faced the difficulties frankly. When the shark arrives, he has no fear, but calms his heart. Determination and perseverance make his mind very clear. Very clear what he had to do, what he had to face, what he had to overcome. He chose to face it bravely. Really, there is nothing to be afraid of when you face it bravely.   Refusal, the old man refused to be alone and dark. In the vast sea, the old man more than once mentioned the boy, more than once said: "How good it would be if the boy was. "But the fact is that he is the only one who overcame the difficulties, and he is the only one who faced the darkness and loneliness. And the boy can only silently bless him. So he even considered his enemy - the big marlin - as a friend; a bird landing on the boat would catch his attention. The old man will always find something to amuse himself and make himself less lonely.   So, did the old man succeed or not? He has succeeded! Because he has overcome many difficulties and persevered. He has conquered himself. Although there is only one skeleton left in the marlin, the skeleton is a spirit, an indomitable spirit with tenacity!   A simple old fisherman, what he said, what he thought is the real philosophy of life, why? Because he had been through it. The author, Ernest Hemingway, is no different. Hemingway suffered from illness and mental depression, but he remained strong and never gave in. So he created the image of a steadfast old man, which actually alludes to himself.   No matter how many difficulties and what difficulties there are, as long as there is determination, perseverance, and put in efforts, the problem will always be solved. Face it bravely, and victory is ahead! Work hard and you will be the final winner!
