CHASING FOR LOVE

Compared with the beauty of words, the spiritual core of Jane Eyre's book is to promote and praise Jane Eyre's noble personality, and her sincere emotional praise is more worthy of affirmation. In order to better understand these, I think it is necessary to remind the background of this book. The Victorian era was a brilliant era in British history. During this period, the British economy developed rapidly and the gap between the rich and the poor widened dramatically. There is a clear distinction between different social classes. The working class, the middle class, the rich and the noble have completely different economic backgrounds, thus forming a completely different way of life. They are full of discrimination and prejudice against each other. The concept of family status is deeply rooted. On the other hand, women are low in status, and are positioned as tools for "looking after husbands and educating children". They serve their husbands in the family, and personally or command the maids to do housework, Educating children is regarded as the natural and only mission of women. In fact, this means that women give up independence completely and rely on family and men for survival. This combination of social background, women's view and marriage view deprives women of all the rights to choose their destiny. The only way they can leave is to marry a man of the same class with better economic conditions. Utilitarian marriage has become the mainstream of marriage. What women can do is to try every means to learn the skills to please and attract men, so that they can bid a good price in the marriage market in the future, or at least find buyers and sell smoothly. Women who fail to marry people who are regarded as "eccentric" and "superfluous people".

What I appreciate most is Jane's sense of independence. She has made many important decisions independently. To leave the church and become a governess; Finding that Rochester had a wife, she resolutely left; Dividing property among Cousins; All these important decisions, such as refusing her cousin's courtship, are made by Jane in all herself. In the end, Jane followed her heart and went back to look for Rochester. Although he had lost his eyesight and severed his left arm in order to save his life, she still chose to stay with him and take care of him. Finally, she married love, showing the independent view of marriage in feminism. Jane Eyre was unfortunate and suffered from abuse. She can not understand the warmth of love, but she is brave and strong, she was on her way to pursue equality; Her most important friend Helen Death was hit her hard; Having been cheated in her marriage, she was grieved. She did not indulge in vanity, nor did she continue to marry for love Rochester lived together, but left firmly for dignity. She found the loveliness of students in teaching and found the beauty of life. At the same time, she was loved by people for her simplicity and kindness. In the countryside, she made up for the spiritual trauma with a full life, and reshaped the beautiful life with a positive and optimistic spirit. She taught me that in life, even when I'm beaten and discouraged, I still have to to love life is, not only to enjoy the beauty and prosperity, but also to maintain enthusiasm and optimism for life in the face of setbacks in order to bathe in the sunshine of life. 

The love between Rochester and Jane is romantic and rational.In the evening, they met in the garden. Rochester  leaned against the corner and said to himself with a sad face.Maybe only he can find Jane Eyre’s speciality. Because they have similar souls, tenacity and silence after being destroyed, they still have kindness and responsibility, and sensitivity and faith in good people.

Jane Eyre is a book with delicate psychological description, attractive rhetoric, restore the heroine by the ups and downs of life, praise the genuine spirit of Jane Eyre and get rid of the old day customs and prejudices of female. Jane Eyre, the heroine of the novel, was born poor and mediocre, but she has a very extraordinary temperament and rich emotional life experience and learning ability. She always pursues the perfection of professional ethics and personal independence, and the pursuit of love and marriage was based on the development of freedom and equality. Rochester is strong and gentle, violent and wise man, he actively sought for a high degree of spiritual fit with Jane Eyre.
