乌合之众

The Crowd of Crowds is very famous, but I have never had the chance to
read it because I have seen articles criticizing its views, so I read
this book with critical thinking and curiosity. In this book, the
author narrates the unconscious of groups from three volumes. Among
them, what left a deep impression on me was the content about education
and reputation. Reputation "in the book refers to the essential
foundation for leaders to gain group support. Of course, success is the
most important thing. Without success, there is no reputation, let alone
the support of the group. At the same time, the author also talked about
the speech skills that leaders should possess, which I find very useful
and interesting for me. Education, this is the point where I have the
deepest sympathy. I believe the author's viewpoint on education is
reasonable, and our current situation also aligns with its predictions.
We need to re-examine the education system to align it with social
development. However, during my reading process, I found that he was
full of prejudice against race, women, and children, comparing these
types of people to barbarians. Perhaps this is due to the limitations of
the times that led the author to have such an idea. Last, I believe
that when understanding something, one should not only read a book, but
also learn from multiple aspects.
