Les Miserables
Entering the miserable world of Victor Hugo, I met two good men, Archbishop Bienvenu and Jean Valjean.
Archbishop Bienvenu was a very good man, a God to the poor, an angel to the sick. He was kind, kind, and devoted infinite care to everyone around him. I finally believe that people can change people. It was this kindness, this goodness of the archbishop, that finally transformed Jean Valjean: it was the Archbishop who took in Jean Valjean when he was homeless; When Jean Valjean was caught by the police stealing the silver candlestice-holder, the archbishop falsely claimed that he had given it to Jean Valjean, and finally said to him with concern: "Promise me that you will put the money to good use. Sell the silver and use the money to make your life better." It was as if I heard the sound of Jean Valjean's false heart breaking and shaking, and from that broken place a good and sincere heart had grown again. It was flopping, and the warm blood ran through Jean Valjean, giving him new life.
The archbishop's words lit up Jean Valjean's future path like a star, and he no longer lost his way; He became a good man. He became mayor and ran the city in good order. In the face of Fantine's desperation, it was he who gave her a helping hand, not only paid off her debts, but also found and brought up Cosette; Seeing that old man Fauchelevent was about to die, Jean Valjean, with his own flesh and blood, took up the carriage and restored the old man to life. Faced with the innocent man in the courtroom, Jean Valjean did not hesitate to tell the truth; Seeing a sailor who was about to die at sea, he jumped out of the ship and risked his own life. In the face of the hound like tracking their detective Sha Wei for several years, Jean Valjean return the good for the bad, resolutely put down the gun; In the face of the surging tide of the French Revolution, he was not afraid of danger, charge into the battle; In the face of Cosette, who was dependent on him, he sacrificed himself to make the young man happy... Jean Valjean used his life to explain to us: how to be a good person.
Nowadays, many of us often sigh that the interpersonal relationship in society is becoming more and more indifferent, the lack of integrity between people, and in order to protect themselves, also dare not try to be a kind person. In fact, kindness can be passed on, trust is mutual.
Like Archbishop Bienvenu, we should spread happiness to others, the faith of good will to others... This is great love, this is great good, only with moral influence is the cure of society! Love and goodness will nourish all.
Believe in love, believe in goodness, let love and goodness deeply melt in this real world! I decided to learn from Archbishop Bienvenu and Jean Valjean, to be a good man, and to warm the world with my own little power.
